_s sez sup
I'm an 18-y.o. music industry major at the college of St. Rose with a minor in computer science, although that may change. My tradition is scientific and skeptical, but I actively try to not be closed-minded in a real sense, and believe in a great many things a skeptic does not; for instance, I recently changed the volume of a car motor with my mind, and I'd count the odds that I'm a wizard as about the same as the odds I'm crazy.
I've recently undergone a consciousness shift of sorts with going to college and all expanding my mind, and while it was hard it was extremely rewarding and I feel I am much less fucked up on the inside now. Recreational hemp usage also had something to do with it.
I write a lot, of poetry, music, code, stuff online, etc. One of my notebooks was recently destroyed by rain and I lost a great deal of work, spurring me to digitalize my other stuff.

Hey. Sorry to hear that your work got ruined. I have had the same problem earlier but I still tend to have my notes and my work in both physical and digital form in case something hapens to either. Also, it is nice to see that so many musicaly intereted is gathered here. I have lately started to speculate about researching in spirituality combined with music and notes and probably make a book about it. Alltough not in any near future.

Hi. Nice to meet you. I'm also planning on going to college for music (and quantum physics), so it's good to see that there are quite a few musically inclined people on this forum. Also, I plan on using "hemp" recreationally once I move out, among other things. But, anyway, it's always good to be a little bit skeptic, because that way, you don't believe everything you read. It seems like a couple people on /x/ are like that.

You may want to look into Finnish paganism as it is based on putting emotion and energy into music to preform magickal ceremonies, from what i am told.

One of the subjects I have been thinking about researching. Alot of the "article" will be about speculating if its actually energy that gives us the feelings when listening or preforming certain music. I am also going to research about african tribes using polyrythmics as a way to channalise energy, the incans sacred flutes and the saami (people in northern Sweden that see themself as the native people, they are like our indians) way of contacting spirits trough chanting and rythms.

Man, I just heard an album called Congo Square by Africa in America. It's Wynton Marsalis collaborating with Yacub Addy, a master drummer from the Ga people. The whole album's about hurricane Katrina among other things.Platon wrote:

I don't know about how it works, but that shit is fucking fantastic.

That's pretty awesome, especially because I have some ancestors from up in that general area, Norway to be specific.Karma wrote:You may want to look into Finnish paganism as it is based on putting emotion and energy into music to preform magickal ceremonies, from what i am told.
Not really in to paganism yet, I feel like that path isn't for me because so many people I respect/know/am descended from are pure agnostics or atheists too. If I start looking into religion it's going to be into that or thelma.

You mention changing the sound of a car with your mind. Did you have something there measuring frequency and volume, or was it just a perceived change and not measured. I've been able to change the sound of things before but I've always assumed it was just me changing the way my brain perceived the sound, I never measured it.

Well no, not really. I can communicate nonverbally with animals sometimes, but that's not really paranormal. I have a lot of bizarre half-memories from childhood but I don't really know what they mean.zartunze wrote:Any other insane events like the car motor thing?
Oh and I tried sigil magic twice, it worked okay.
